Earth Alliance Ships: GUEST DESIGNS

These are designs created by other people who have given me permission to post them here on this site. Some sent me compete drawings, others simple sketches that I redrew. Most descriptions are directly from the creators.

Warships

Adam Blaylock

Argo Class Explorer The Argo class was a result of budget cuts and shifty dealings by designers. Built from parts taken from other projects and star ships,
the Argo is visually less than stunning. It is, however, far more survivable than the Cortez this class was based on. With an expanded fighter launch rack, designers of this ship managed to squeeze four squadrons of
Aurora fighters in. Defensive weapons systems have been added, as well, however there is little offensive power to the Argo. She, like the Cortez, depend on fighter support in heated battles.

Adam Somers

Alpha Class Dreadnought: This ship is a much more heavily armed version of the Omega class destroyer. It is the same size as the Omega and carries 36 fighters and 4 shuttles and is armed with 14 Twin Plasma Cannons, 6 Particle Beam Guns, 2 Fusion Missile Launchers, 6 Heavy Particle Lasers and 6 Heavy Pulse Cannons.

Ark Royal Class Carrier: It is armed with 16 particle lasers and carries 72 fighters and 8 shuttles

Heavy Psi-Corps Mother Ship: This ship carries one squadron of 12 Black Omega fighters and is armed with 8 laser cannons.

Size Comparison Chart of the various designs.

Alexander Kean

Some of these drawings are done in the same scale as my size comparison charts. The Hope is a gigantic colonial transport. The Ultima is a super-dreadnought, while the Magus (small) is a super-battleship. The Accelan (small) is a fast missile cruiser while the Apetha (small) is an escort cruiser. Alexander has also done alternate color schemes for some of his ships, the Magus, and the Apetha.

The "Sharlock" is a fusion of Minbari and EA tech. Not sure if it belongs here or on the Minbari page though. This drawing is full scale, Here is the smaller one.

Echo Class Cruiser The Echo class cruiser is a replacement for the aging Hyperion class cruisers. It utilizes the Hyperion's reliable design with technology from the Warlock class destroyer. The Echo's job is to be an escort cruiser in larger fleets and to act independently on deep-space patrols. Many parts of the Echo were taken from the Warlock. The Echo uses an engine block that is similar to the Warlock's. It has two fusion reactors and two gravimetric reactors in the main engine block. However the Echo has an additional two gravimetric reactors on its port and starboard sides. The extra thrusters give the Echo a distinct advantage in speed and maneuverability over most other ships, including the Warlock. The echo can turn 90 degrees in any direction in one second at maximum thrust. The weapon systems of the Echo are also based on those used on the Warlock. The Echo carries seven Medium and Heavy plasma cannon turrets of the same type mounted on the Warlock. Each of these turrets has two cannons. The turrets are placed in the same areas that the turrets on the Hyperion are. The placement of the turrets allows maximum fire coverage and the Echo has few or no blind spots. The Echo has 17 PP cannons in strategic places for defense against fighters. The most powerful weapons mounted on the Echo are the two heavy particle cannons in the front. Each of these particle cannons has ¾ the energy output of the G.O.D lasers on the Warlock, significantly more powerful than those on the Omega. Two Fusion warhead launchers are mounted on the port side of the cruiser, across from the hangar bay. These launchers can launch a variety of different ordinance, including mines, missiles, and torpedoes. The Echo does have planetary bombardment capability. Like the Hyperion, the Echo only carries six fighters. Also the Echo has no real assault capability although it does carry two breaching pods and 250 marines. Because very little space is taken up by a hangar, more space can be allocated to other systems like weapons and sensors. The Echo is fitted with extremely advanced sensors. The first two ships of this class were the EAS Echo and the EAS Hyperion II, which was sort of a tribute to the Hyperion and has the same paint scheme.

Iwo Jima Class Assault Carrier Capable of carrying over 300 fighters of various types, plus a variety of assault craft, the Iwo Jima is a powerful assault platform. It carries a heavy defensive armament.

Mercy Class Hospital Ship The Mercy-Class Hospital Ship is a modified Iwo Jima Class ship. The Mercy-class ship is dispatched to emergency situations and is also present in very large fleets to treat battlefield causalities. It is usually escorted by an Olympus class corvette in low threat areas. Otherwise, an escort of Echos, Warlocks or other ships is used.

Bryn Evans

Iraq Class Built as a massive battlefield carrier (a much smaller version of a Drakh mother ship) With the first shield generators ever to be seen in any none first one race & she uses a new chemical reactor which runs on Hyperanium a substance found in hyperspace with incredible energy, however due to its energy the tanks are placed outside to give the energy or the ship would implode into another form of space & create a small black hole.

United States Class After the cure for the Drakh plague was found, the Earth Alliance decided to create a new set of starship designs, the George Washington project & so a new fleet of starships was launched. The United States class Battlecarrier was the first starship designed & launched.

Europe Class The Europe class is a brand new design of Aircraft Carrier which is fitted with the energy shields proved that it wasn’t perfect with the destruction of the Alpha Centauri when its generates overloading when a radiation leak caused weapon cell cascades & destroyed the crew with all hands, showing the Earth Force Generals that they shouldn’t jump the gun, but the Europe class has proven to be vital as an Earth Force vessel, & is one of Earth’s greatest prides. Armed with 108 Starfury’s & With 18 Jupiter type laser array’s & brand new Anti-matter Energy pulse cannons she’s been given the nickname NEW SHADOW.

Vanguard Advanced Heavy Destroyer  After the Drakh Plague failed to destroy the Earth’s populayion, the Drakh launched a 12 year terror campaign, & after 2 years of hostilities Earth Force needed a new destroyer in a plan to surprise the Drakh, & in 2273 The ISA gave Earth Force a grant to take 30 Victory Destroyers, construct there own Victorys, & design there own version without Bio-Armor. As a result the Vanguard class came into service in 2275 with the Vanguard, Victor, Valiant & Vulcan & were immediately sent to known Drakh activity hives & were immediately a success. With Advanced fusion & Antimatter Cannons & a new Bubble shield (mostly Earth Technology) took the Drakh with complete surprise & the Drakh never built anything like it, automatically telling the Universe not to pick a fight with Earth.

Casual Observer

Casual Observer's ships are designed as a group and he has provided rather extensive background information for them, so I've created a seperate page for them, HERE.

Casual's done some more...

Medivac Class Hospital Ship: total 3 units, +2 under construction. Based mostly on the Spearhead design, the Medivac class is a hospital ship. It may not be as large as the Mercy class, but this is a result of its original design. It's mission consists of taking wounded off planet to the Medivac which itself leaves the system to the rear area where more suitable facilities like the Mercy Class ships are standing by. Pictured is the EAS Ambulance whose crew has taken an extra precaution against taking fire. It carries 9 atmospheric shuttles and no weapons. The class includes the Medivac, Ambulance, and Dust-Off. (Paramedic and Red Cross under construction)

Callsign Class C&C Ship: Total: 1 unit, +1 ordered. Also based on the Spearhead design, the Callsign is a C&C ship whose sole purpose is to remain outside the battle zone as a communications ship. It can also offer coordination and location of ships, friend or foe, during battle to ship captains. She carries no guns or embarked craft as the communications gear takes all the ships room and power. Must rely on frigates and corvettes for protection. The class is the Callsign with 1 other unnamed ship ordered for construction. **Note: purple stripes indicate non-combatant C&C ship, differing from a combatant C&C ship**

Demon class Attack Carrier: total 2 units, +1 ordered/+1 under construction. This is a ship that gives fighter cover, and lots of it. Carrying about 384 fighters, this ship and her sister work often with TF27 when extra fighters are needed. The ship's weaponry includes more than enough AA guns in the form of duel pulse cannons- similar, but modern version of B5's original defense-grid. Other weapons include several medium pulse/laser mounts that are Omega derived. This ship is NOT an offensive weapon, although its fighters are. Weapons are designed to allow the ship to hold it's own until reinforcements arrive or a fighter recall is issued. The class includes the Demon and Courage, with Honor nearly completed at which time construction will start on the Challenger.

Deuce Class Assault Ship: total 27 units, +8 under construction. Given the necessary, but unglamorous task of marine transport, has fallen on the very large shoulders of the Deuce class more than once. This ship's simple role is to take marines and their equipment en masse to the target zone. When the marines are really packed in there, an amazing 8-9 thousand can fit inside the ship. However, the ship's usual load is 5,000 men and their equipment including tanks, artillery, and other large objects. Embarked craft number nearly 2 dozen shuttles of various types. Weaponry consists of simple medium defenses relying on escorts for most protection. Ships of the class include the Deuce, Humvee, Jeep, and Semper Fi.

Genesis Class Transport: total 11 units. Similar in function to the Deuce ships, the Genesis ships are the main supply and transport ships for I.P.X. Used mainly to resupply Galileo and Calisto exploration ships; the Genesis class can do some scouting and survey work if required. Her greatest asset however is her large hangar, which can hold 2 dozen shuttles, survey ships, and probes. Armament is light as the ships never enter "hot" zones. Ships of the class include the Creation, Genesis, Exodus, and the Pinta

Grunt Class Heavy Frigate: total 44 units, +13 under construction. Used solely by the marines, the Grunt class is the service's primary escort for troop convoys, which often include Deuce and Liberty ships. For a ship its size, it is well armed with four squadrons of fighters, multiple twin pulse cannons for AAA and 10 pulse/laser batteries. Even fleet officer's have commented about the Grunt's outstanding service, especially against overwhelming odds- a testament to it's all marine crew of ~315 men. As a sign that the gone are not forgotten, Grunt ships are usually named after Marines who have given the ultimate sacrifice so others may live. Notable ships are the Sacrifice, Devil Dog, Patterson, Jefferson, and McPherson.

Liberty Class Transport: total ~220 units, + ~25 under construction. Living up to their namesake, Liberty ships fill nearly every role there is. Produced by a civilian company, the Liberty has found uses in the marines, merchant marine, fleet, and as pictured, IPX. Used mainly as a personnel/cargo transport the ship carries various loads of weapons, bunks, and embarked craft. Notable fleet ships are the Freedom and Independence; Miramar and Pensacola (EAMC); Liberty and Scientist (IPX)

Minbar Class Testbed: total 2 units. Fusing Minbari and human tech again is the Minbar class of ships. These ships are unarmed testbeds that solely test the Minbari gravitic drive, and more importantly, the stealth system. As such, both ships take part regularly in EA war games, as well as training exercises with the Narn, and League worlds. (Centauri are out of the ISA and the Minbari already possess the tech.) The Minbar also carries a squadron of Condor class fighters (her sole defense) while the other ship carries more conventional craft. The ships carry several different sensor and communication packages as well. Ships are the MINBAR and the Red October II **note: yellow stripes indicate testbed**

Black Widow Class Light Cruiser: total 5 units, more orders pending trials. Basically an up-gunned Electra class ship, the Black Widows are being tested as possible components to TF27. These ships include new generator and computer systems to increase power while decreasing crew size. Carrying an amazing array of weapons, these ships will support the Apocalypse class cruisers in their role as the main muscle of the TF. Plans call for 2 squadrons of Mustang fighters, 2 Remoras, and 2 shuttles. Only 5 ships have been completed, while orders for more are pending EA war games against units of TF27, and other trials. Ships are the Rattler, Black Widow, Scorpion, Cobra, and the Hornet.

Spearhead Class Light Cruiser: total 23 units, + 4 under construction. With nearly all its firepower facing forward, the Spearhead class of cruisers makes for an excellent blockade-runner, being able to punch a whole in any blockading fleet. She carries heavy and medium sized weapons, all facing forward, with only a hand full of smaller guns covering her aft. This is made up though in her embarked craft as she only carries 1 flight (6) of Thunderbolts. This is another type favored by the EAMC as it can give devastating fire support/planetary bombardment on a small area. Ships in the class include the Lance, Javelin, Spearhead, and Mace

Chris McAllister e-mail

Annihilation Class R&D Cruiser: An attempt to design the most powerful, medium sized, warship possible. It mounts a particle cannon, two energy mine launchers, a pair of heavy lasers, and eight standard particle beams. It has a full interceptor grid, and eighteen Thunderbolts.

Dragon Class Fast Frigate: A small, highly maneuverable warship, well armed with twin medium pulse cannons, a heavy laser, missiles, and a variety of defensive weapons.

Guardian Class Strike Destoryer: A possible Omega replacement, equipped with 2 MLPA, 2 heavy railguns, 2 missile bays, 8 SPB's and a launch bay with 24 fighters. (New drawing 2/12/02)

Eclipse Class Missileboat : A lighter version of the Sagitarius and Apollo, it has four anti-ship missile bays and a smaller dedicated anti-fighter bay, as well as pulse cannon turrets fore and aft. The midships shuttle bay can carry a couple large shuttles, or 3-4 fighters.

Ghoststalker Class Heavy Gunboat: The Earth Alliance's answer to the White Stars, the Ghoststalker is the smallest EA ship with a jump engine. Its fast, maneuverable, and heavily armed, too heavily in fact. It can not power all its weapons at once. It is equipped with a heavy particle cannon, four medium pulse cannons, four defensive particle cannons, and interceptors.

Hercules Class Battle Carrier : A massive warship, capable of carrying 72 fighters, but also packing a tremendous punch on its own, with six heavy particle cannons, a twin energy mine launcher, 16 Medium Laser/Pulse Arrays, and 16 standard particle beams. A typical mission would have its fighters jump into battle first, then the Hercules would wait for the appropriate moment to add its firepower to the fray.

Lancer Class Advanced Cruiser : A compact, heavily armed cruiser, with two HLPA's, a heavy close in defense, and modified "Warlock style" missile racks, along with a dozen Thunderbolts.

Mercurius Class Advanced Destroyer : The final development of the Nova/Omega hull design. Armed with twin heavy particle cannons, two E-Mine launchers, and a dozen medium laser/pulse arrays, along with twin "Warlock racks". It has a full interceptor grid and carries two dozen Thunderbolts. Intended to replace the remaining Nova's and older Omega Class Destroyers.

Nova Trainer Class Starfury: Equipped with a second crewman, forward and below the main pilot, this version of the Nova was the primary EA training craft for Nova and Aurora Class Starfury pilots.

Orion Heavy Dreadnought: Designed and built in prototype form just prior to the Minbari War, the Orion was basically an enlarged Nova, with a large compliment of fighters (72 to be exact) adding to its already formidible array of laser/pulse arrays and missile racks.

Razorwire Class Escort Cruiser : A heavy escort cruiser, well armed with four HLPA, and a mix of standard particle beams, interceptors, and missiles, as well as Thunderbolts.

Scorpion Class Missile Cruiser : Part of a design competition for a new EA missile cruiser to replace the aging Sagitarius, the Scorpion lost out to the Apollo. It has twin "Warlock style" heavy missile racks, along with four more lateral missile banks. For defense it has eight standard particle beams and can carry a dozen fighters. Several prototypes were built and pressed into service following the Drakh attack.

Shadow Lancer Class Light Cruiser: Equipped with Shadow tech, this cruiser has twin medium pulse phasing cannons, four light molecular slicing beams, and eight standard particle beams, along with a dozen Thunderbolts.

Shadow Stalker Missile Corvette: This ship carries a large "Warlock style" missile rack forward, along with four light molecular slicing beams, and four standard particle beams.

Titan Class Stealth Cruiser : A small, stealthy warship intended for commerce raiding and deep strikes behind enemy lines, usually in "wolf packs". Equipped with two HLPA's, with excellent arcs of fire, along with eight standard particle beams and two "Warlock style" missile racks. It also carries two flights of Thunderbolts.

Viper Class Light Cruiser A possible Hyperion replacement, armed with a quartet of heavy pulse cannons, twin heavy lasers, and eight standard particle beams, plus an interceptor grid. The lack of fighters is a possible handicap.

Valkyrie Class Heavy Cruiser The final update to the venerable Hyperion design, the Valkyrie has 3 Heavy Laser Cannons, 3 Heavy Pulse Cannons, 4 SPB, 2 Missile bays and 18 fighters.

SA-26 "Freedom Fighter" Light Fighter Intended as a cheap, easy to produce, light fighter. It has twin pulse cannons and carries a pair of missiles. It has very little armor and one crew memeber.

SA-27 "Phoenix" Stealth Starfury Designed as a reconnisance fighter, the Phoenix uses three improved engines in a "T" configuration, and carries as pulse gatling cannon and four missiles.

Dale Cox

Valkyrie Class An advanced Earth Alliance monitor from the 2280's.

Stormbringer Class A highly advanced EA superdreadnought design from the early 24th century.

Philip "Entillzha" Wright

Arion Class Destroyers A series of designs (Alpha, Beta, Iota, Zeta) published in the Great Machine web magazine, Volume 4.

Galen

E.A.S. Titans Ivanova's ship, the EAS Titans, had the Shadow tech replaced with Vorlon tech, specifically the leftover components of Kosh2.0's destroyed transport. Basically the regrown Vorlon ship agreed to do it because it was bored, and it still sits in one of the Titans' holds with little to do. So, to keep itself busy it keeps growing into the other ship's systems.

Gerald Mole

Wizard Class Destroyer Intended as a cheaper alternative to the Warlock, the Wizard is an enlarged and updated Omega. They were found to be too slow and sluggish for close in combat, so they were used as long range fire support vessels.

Grand Inquisitor Dask (Daniel Haughton)

Browning Class Escort Cruiser A powerful anti-fighter escort cruiser, though not as good in the anti-shipping role. Has two dozen (!) Heavy Interceptors and six laser/pulse arrays.

Conestoga Class Fleet Tender A replacement for the Cotton, equipped with artificial gravity and large cargo bays, that are also modular. Normally it carries 2-4 cargo pods, but can carry up to 16, though at a SEVERE maneuverability penalty! An SCS is available.

Hecatoncheires Named after the monstrous "hundred-headed" brothers of the Greek Titans, the Hecatoncheires is something of a step backwards in naval architecture. Eschewing the utilitarian nature of the Nova, Omega, and Warlock class ships, the Hecatoncheires harkens back to the classical wet-navy lines of the Hyperion class ships. Based in part on the spaceframe of the Orpheus class battleship, Earth's first true, though unsuccessful, battleship, the Hecatoncheires is an improvement upon the Orpheus in all ways. Carrying several times the raw firepower, double the fighter complement, and the best sensor suite available to Earth Alliance, the Hecatoncheires is expected to be able to go one-on-one with any vessel in the known galaxy short of the Minbari Shargotti class battlecruisers and the ISA Victory class destroyers.

MacArthur Class Heavy Assault Carrier A massive assault ship, designed to enter a system, drop its troops and support units, then high tail it out of the system until the shooting is over. It has powerful anti-fighter defenses, but very poor ship to ship capability. SCS available.

Monsoon Class Gunboat A Crusade-era Earth Alliance gunboat. Well armed, and capable of carrying additional weapons in detachable, mission specific, pods. For the most part, it would use fixed EA bases for resupply, etc..., but its not impossible that it could also use tenders, much like the old pre-WW1 torpedo boats used tenders to carry them long distances. The lack of a jump drive might make a jump capable tender even more likely to see use. With all the old Nova hulls around in the post 2265 era, it would make a logical tender, with its MPLA's removed and a repair bay for a Monsoon replacing the hanger and docking clamps on the hull for a dozen or so Monsoons. Fully loaded, it would be incredibly sluggish, but would allow a greater range of operation for the gunboats. Here's a picture.

Tempest (top) and Arctic (bottom) Class Cruisers Competing designs for a Hyperion replacement, the Arctic was considerably smaller than the Tempest, but due to inovative design features, could still carry two dozen fighters and a powerful weapons array. The Arctic won the competition, while the lone example of the Tempest is employed as a technology testbed and may still see production in some other role besides a Hyperion replacement.

Titanic Class Colonial Transport During the middle of the Earth-Minbari war, Earth Force knew that it was facing defeat (althought it wouldn’t publically admit it just yet), comissioned a crash study design of a type of "super-lifeboat evacuation ship" should the Minbari ever reach Earth. By the time the ink had dried for the start up, the war was over and the Titanic was all but forgotten as Earth Force and EarthGov slowly began the long recovery from the war. However, shortly after the Drakh attack on Earth, (and the subsequent cure for the plauge found), Titanic ‘resurfaced’ again and was built out of the remains of Omega engines and other assorted parts from several different vessels. In fact, Titanic didn’t even really have a name until fans of a 20th century film of the same title, started a write-in and e-mail campaign to have Earth Force name the ship Titanic, as it was huge for a ship of its type at that time. The fans got their way and in a few years, Titanic was launched. Living up to its namesake, it hit a comet near Saturn and crashed into the planet. Fortunatly this time, this particular Titanic had plenty of lifeboats on board for the shakedown crew and nobody was injured. Earth Force, seeing the project as a ‘titanic’ waste of money, canceled plans for sister ships named Lusitania, Olympic and Brittanic.

Luciano Trentadue

Luciano has provided extensive background information for his ships, so I've placed them on a seperate page, located HERE.

Mackie

Amadeus Class Gunboat A small EA fire support gunboat, from the post-Crusade era. Shown here at 4 times normal scale, being roughly the size of a White Star, though nowhere near as maneuverable.

Accolade Class Cruiser This combines the best aspects of the Percele and Arrakis classes into a single EA/ISA cruiser. Fast, powerful and well armored, though the C&C is rather exposed.

Avalon Class Frigate Another Russian design, suffering from the same reactor overload problems as other designs of the period.

Arrakis Class Cruiser A more powerful variant of the Percele, but not as resistant to damage. Its faster, but not as agile.

Calisto Class Mobile Observatory A mobile deep space observatory, the ultimate descendant of the Hubble!

Cossack Class Cruiser A "no-nonsense" cruiser, equipped with somewhat older weapons types to reduce the power drain on the propulsion systems during combat maneuvering.

Davids Class Colonial Transport A colonial transport developed after the Drakh Plague using primarily Omega components. Undoubtably, that experience would inspire the Alliance not to "have all its eggs in one basket".

Galileo Class Mobile Research Facility A mobile research platform.

Marnot Class Corvette Small, maneuverable escort vessel, using technology similar to the Arctic. Possibly an Olympus replacement.

Moloch Class Advanced Technology Demonstrator A testbed, primarily for advanced propulsion systems, but retaining an operational capability. It represents an attempt by Earthforce to develop true, Minbari style, gravitic propulsion, unlike the hybrid systems used on the Warlock and other EA warships.

Moscow Class Spinal Cruiser (SLARN: Spinal Laser Advanced Refit Nova) A later attempt to built an effective spinal laser equipped warship. Extremely slow and unmaneuverable due to the power requirements of the lasers. Like many designs from Russian shipyards of the period, it had reactor overload problems, usually due to excessive weapons load.

Percele Class A platform for testing Drazi systems. The name is Finnish for "Devil".

Rana Class Transport A small cargo transport. From the looks of it, I'd say its some sort of priority transport. Obviously it carries important cargo, with all the weapons visible on it.

Samson Class Cruiser A small, well armed EA cruiser, capable of carrying Thunderbolts.

Sodoma and Garamond Class Cruisers. Two possible replacements for the Hyperion. The "retro-looking" Sodoma is fast and well armed, but lacks fighters. The Garamond is less agile, but carries several assault shuttles and considerable firepower. Its also the more expensive of the two designs.

Sunstorm Class Another mixed EA/Drazi technology testbed.

Therion Class Omega Class Technology Testbed A prototype for many of the systems eventually installed in the Omega class, based on a heavily modified Hyperion hull.

Xora Class Battleship/Technology Testbed An EA testbed for incorporating Vree technology on Earth platforms using technology gained from membership in the Interstellat Alliance and through "less overt" means.

Picture A picture showing a Davids class transport being escorted by a pair of Marnots.

Malcom Lu (Galen82)

Artemis Class Heavy Cruiser The Artemis was built to replace the Hyperion as Heavy Cruisers. The Artemis incorporates the latest technology, including artificial gravity, fusion beam cannons, and a gravitic drive engine. The ship has a much greater fighter complement due to her larger fighter bays. Hangar decks are located in the front and lower areas of the ship. The Neptune is an updated version.

Black Omega Carrier A heavily modified passenger liner, like the Psi-Corps transport. This version, however, is enlarged and equipped with bays for Black Omega Star Furys squadrons.

Earth Force One (New Model) A newer model of Earth Force One, it compares to the old Earth Force One as the 747 compared to the 707. Larger, faster, and more luxurious, it allows the Earth Alliance President to travel in style and safety.

Hospital Ship A converted passenger liner, a cheap and effective hospital ship platform.

Merkur (Pascal Klein)

Venturer Class Explorer Scout The first prototype of the Venturer was designed, and built long before the first conflicts involving the EA. After making contact with other races, first being the Centauri, the EA decided to fabricate a more powerful scout. One that was able to defend itself more adequately when attacked. After some extensive testing, it was concluded that the ship be re-designed, especially after the first peace treaties were set into action, for a powerfully built scout could be misinterpreted a destroyer, or warship by some inferior races. After th re-designing, and fabrication of the first batch of ships, the Venturer was not that easily accepted into the fleet. People were sceptic, and frightened of living on a starship, whcih was not capable to defend itself in case of a pre-emtive attack. This was perhaps why the Venturer was named a failure, and thus only 23 were issued, 19 were built, 6 scrapped, and out of the remaining 13, only 5 survived after Drazi conflicts. Out of the 5 remaining, only 4 are still in service today. These 4 ships perform simple escorts in Earth Alliance space, on purpose, away from potential harm.

Venturer II Class Explorer Scout (shown with Warlock for comparison) It was then, less than a century later, that the SFabri Corps designed a new building blueprint and soon began construction, secretly as to retain confidence, and not be subjugated by other sources, such as the general public or the EA Navy. After about a year, the Venturer II was complete and service ready. She was armored more extensively, and equipped more to defend itself. However, it was at this point still not released to the EA Navy, and still kept a secret. The first Venturer II was sent on a mission, which EA Navy did not consent to, or even know about. AN informant gave information of a Cortez doing a scout mission ahead of the fleet into pirate territory, and returning with as much information as possible. Upon return, the Venturer II made itself known to the fleet, and gave a more concise report than that of the Cortez. Amoung the report, was also detailed that the Cortez was ambushed unexpectantly, and managed to flee through a jumpgate, though the pirate ships which were responsible for the ambush could therefore have survived and told of EA spying missions into their territoy, which would have compromised the entire missions yet to come. However it was later discovered that after the central EA fleet moved in that the pirates were completely unaware of a pending attack. The Venturer II had over 360 railgun shells, and 40 Hunter Seeker close range anti-fighter missiles missing. The logs also conclude the EA's thoughts that the Venturer II cut off the pirates on their way home and destroyed every starship or vessel. Even thought the fleet was not large, the pirates did have over 60 stollen Starfurries, and a 2 Monsoon gunboats*.

After this, the Venturer II was quickly accepted amoungst the alliance navy, and played imporant roles. Although SFabri Corps still retains building rights, and reluctantly agrees to build more ships, over 14 Venturer IIs now exist in the EA Navy. Only one has to date been destroyed, when attempting to escort a severely damaged Narn Heavy Cruiser from besieged neutral territory. A Centauri Battle Cruiser decided to openly fire upon the EA vessel as well as upon the Narn ship, although their allegations state that the Venturer II opened fire first, and that is conducted search and destroy missions upon Centauri listening posts.
One Venturer II has been lost, as no contact has been made with the ship for 3 and a half years now. It is feared destroyed by many people, as it was launched to conduct a friendly exploration mission in the "uncharted".

EAS LeMasters No description provided

Kaga Class Carrier The Kaga Class Varient of the Hyperion was intended for fleet support. However, the design was a financial blunder, suffering from maneuvability problems, and insufficient power systems.  She was completed shortly after the Earth Civil War began, but she was mortally wounded just after leaving the moorings from the yard, which was attacked only 6 weeks after the war began. Only one other was built and saw service after the war.

Ruby Class Hospital Ship No description provided

Freedom Class "PT Boat" A small vessel with a crew of only 20, she is used for hit and run, and defensive missions. Just recently the Drakh attacked the yards which had no other defense other than the 25 Freedom Class PT boats that were finished and awaiting orders. The Freedom Class ships are armed with interceptors and 2 missile racks of 9 missiles each. Earth Force has ordered 200 more.

Omegaleader

Anderson Class It was designed for weapons testing and system trails while the Omega was being desinged and new technology from the Minbari War was being utilized. It features a large targeting array and enhaced sensor packages, visiable fore, that completely take up the Forward Launch Bay. To remedy this a Launch Bay has been retro-fitted to the back of the forward structure and can launch an addition 12 starfuries, bringing the total to 36. The targeting/ command/ communications section is also highly visiable toward the aft of the ship, with a dome and large antenni emminating from the ship. Out of the two built, or refit rather, both have moved on to bigger and better things. The Anderson Sigma(Shown) is, at present, a heavy weapons platform for the 12th Earthforce Expeditionary Fleet, and the Tesla Gamma, is being used for the defense of border colonies as a Long-range Heavy Strike Carrier, due to it's Staryfury compliment of 48, twice the that of an Omega. Both have recieved Gravity upgrades and several engine over-hauls to increase speed and efficentcy.

EA Military Outpost The EA Military Outpost was originally going to be Babylon 6, but it was not needed, so the O'Neil Class components were sold to the military and redesigned for a purely military role. It was assembled in the Draconis system as a permentant outpost, supply yard, lay-over for EA patrols. It also has limited repair docks for the nessecary maintance needed by the aging EA patrols.

Epsilon Class Cruiser The Epsilon Class Heavy Cruiser is one of the first Earth Alliance vessels built after the first contact with the Centauri Republic. Used extensively during the Dilgar Invasion, it was later dismantled and used to buld the new Hyperion and Nova Classes. It's size is due to the fact that it carried hundreds of tons of ordinace, large amounts of supplies for long-range missions, and the huge gravity wheel set-up in the central core of the ship.

Europa Class Explorer Used by IPX as a cheaper alternative to the larger EA Explorers. Fast and quite capable of defending itself from unknown hostiles.

Gamacles Class Command Cruiser A modifed Nova, equipped with the weapons suite and C&C of the Omega Class destroyers. Ten were converted prior to the Omega's entry into service to serve as fleet command ships. All but one were lost during the Earth Civil War, or scrapped as more and more Omega's came online.

Earth Alliance Starliner A military version of the civilian Asimov class, used as a VIP transport and as a training vessel. It can also serve as a back up to the two Earth Force Ones, since it has a large fighter compliment and strong defense grid.

Sherman Class Battlecruiser and Sherman Mk2 The Earth Alliance saw that they lacked a critical vessel in its fleet.  It had the part carrier/part cruiser vessels(Omegas and Novas), and it had the assault warships (Warlocks) but it had no ship that was designed for pure ship to ship engagements, and redesigned the Hyperion, with advanced armor, weaponry, and defensive systems.

Winslow Class Destroyer and here Based on components of the versatile Omega Class Destroyer.  It has two reactor cores rather than one, so it can support the massive guns on its sides, it also has "Warlock style" artificial gravity, removing the need for a rotating section.  It was designed for punching through enemy lines, using its firepower and speed to effect.

TKB

Columbus class Explorer: The Columbus is a budget explorer made from general parts of the Nova, Omega, and Supernova classes.  The class was designed to save costs during the Drakh War and the plague.  The ship is quick to build, so EF could churn them out three times faster than it takes to build a single Cortez.  The diplomatic capabilities of the Columbus are about 90% of that of the Cortez, but the scientific capabilities are the same.  The Cortez is the best explorer one could ask for at the time, but the it is very expensive and the they can't be everywhere, so the cheap and simple Columbus is used to fill the gaps.  The Cortez goes to priority space and the Columbus does more of the routine missions.

Warlord class Battleship: The Warlord was the direct precursor of the Warlock, back in the time when EA artificial gravity technology didn't exceed 0.3g.  The Enlarged rotary section at the rear contained the sleeping quarters and the gyms (to prevent bone & muscular atrophy in the low gravity).  The only Warlord at the time of the EA civil war was half a week from completion when Clark was overthrown. The Earth Force Navy had its Warlocks shortly after, so this testbed was mothballed indefinitely.  The vessel would have been forgotten if the EA Marine Corps hadn’t noticed the vessel and its large crew capacity.  The vessel was recommissioned and refitted.  New members of this class were constructed.  A full G was attained in the "Warlock section" and the reactors were updated. The Warlord has 130% of the Warlocks reactor output and the crew capacity is nearly double that of the Warlock.  Now the marines had the perfect amphibious assault vessel that they have been craving for for a long time.

Warlord-Alpha class Battleship: After a few decades of service, the Warlords were run through a major refit. The "Omega section" was redesigned as to the specs of the Omega-Phi. The rear missile launchers were turned back as to provide massive weapons coverage.  The Marine Corps stated that an enemy has to be either invincible or insane to pursue the Warlord.  The hangar space was also increased, as to facilitate the quick launch of marine landing parties and assault waves.

Warrior class Dreadnought: As the EAMC was revealing their Warlords, the Navy saw that it needed a heavy vessel capable of providing even more bombardment than the Warlock.  The Warrior was the "Nova" version of the Warlord, but the vessel had four Omega cannon turrets turned aft as to discourage pursuing vessels.  The Nova and the Omega cannons with the usual Warlock armament proved a very heavily armed vessel with still enough reactor output to facilitate the quick recharge of the armament.  The downside of this vessel is that it takes a third more resources and 1.5 times the cost of a normal Warlock, so the dreadnought is reserved for heavy fire support

Lord of War class Heavy Dreadnought: The Lord of War is an enlarged version of the Warrior, providing a massive weapons platform.  The idea of the original Warlord was twisted to combine the Supernova and the Dreadnought to create the Lord of War. The addition of the "Supernova section" provides the vessel still with excess reactor output.  This excess means that the reactors can be run at full power in combat situations to provide energy and power to recharge the armament in record speeds.

Constellation Class Assault Ship As the Nova proved woefully insufficient in the task of carrying out planetary assault and bombardment, the Earth Force ordered a new design for this task. Most military designers had their vote on what became the Warlock, but some had a more economic way of thinking. The Constellation was dreamed as the unstoppable planetary subjugator, providing a massive base of fire and a large capacity for an invasion force. The vessel is capable of carrying either two full divisions of lightly mechanized infantry or a division of heavily mechanized infantry or armor.

Sibelius Class Gunboat An E-M War relic. The Sibelius was the design of a Finnish officer in the Earth Force, meant to fill the gap of quickly manufactured fast and reliable vessels. The vessel was used mainly as a scout vessel, but it also provided escort to supply convoys and important taskforces. The vessel served well, but it was as woefully inadequate against the Minbari as any regular EF vessel.

Omeganova Class Dreadnought The Omeganova was the earliest variant of the Omega. During the Earth-Minbari War, many Novas were damaged beyond repair, so all that could be salvaged from them whatever they could. Strangely, the salvaged weapons were mostly unharmed, but they weren't able to salvage any reactors. So, to save armament costs, the EF high command decided to place the NOVA cannons on some of the new Omegas, so that they could replace some of the surviving Novas. An extra reactor unit was installed on each of these variant vessels, as to provide more power to the guns.

Witch Class Light Cruiser The Witch was designed to complement the Warlock, especially as an escort in
taskforces. The Witch is simply a Warlock-derived generic warship. Nothing all that special. Just filling the light cruiser niche.

Liberator Class Assault Cruiser The Liberator is a 'modernization' of the venerable Olympus. The vessel is
used mostly as a patrol and scout vessel and a convoy escort.

Hyperion Freighter A Hyperion refited into a cargo ship. It was given the more effencent Nova ion engine.  The task of this vessel in peace time is to carry important cargo to remote colonies and outposts.  In war time the cargo containers can be replaced turning it into a Missle Platform.

Viper

Earth Alliance Battle Station Based on the design of Babylon 5, but geared for combat. It's nearly twice as long, with much larger fighter bays and tremndous friepower.

Babylon 6 A hypothetical design for a sixth station in the Babylon series. Seven miles long, with ten fighter squadrons.

Mobile Command Carrier A large command ship, roughly three miles long.

Scorpion Class Atmospheric Fighter Unlike the Thunderbolt and Mustang on which it is based, the Scorpion is designed primarily for atmospheric combat, with only a limited space to space ability. In space, it can handle Raider fighters, but against other, more capable fighters, it is at a serious disadvantage. In the atmosphere, however, it is superior to any other known fighter and has a tremendous ground attack capability.

Condor Class Fighter: total 24 units, more orders pending trials. A combination of Minbari and human tech at the fighter level has produced the Condor. It is humanity's first try at a purely gravitic drive fighter, thanks to the tech exchange with the ISA. Using a Thunderbolt's main fuselage, sensors, and computer systems, combined with a Nial's wings, drive, and weapons has produced a truly deadly fighter. Not as fast as the Nial, but more maneuverable than the Thunderbolt, the Condor is a challenge for anything in the sky. One squadron is based aboard the Minbar, while the other is aboard the Sharlock; both are R&D ships. **Note: scuttlebutt says the Minbari also have a squadron undergoing trials**

Dale Cox

Scorpion Class An advanced Earth Alliance fighter from the 2340's. It has eight miniaturized Q-Spoiled Hard-Ray Pulse Laser Cannons (four on wings, four on twin-turret mountings) and one four-barrel Gatling Q-Laser on the nose. It also has a miniaturized Twin Ion Array, making for a quite impressive firepower about equaling three Nials. It also has provision for eight missile hardpoints on the wings. The ship's defense is right on par with the Minbari Nial, being equipped with a full sensor-stealth/jamming system. The Power and propulsion system are highly advanced, consisting of a highly-classified Quantum Singularity reactor providing generous power to the Gravitic and Ion drives as well as the aforementioned (and very energy-hungry weapons), allowing full weapons firepower even at max burn. Practically the only item missing from this otherwise perfect fighter is a Jump engine. These might be introduced in the next upgrade, making long-range deep fighter strikes a reality.
